ShoreZone is a mapping system used to inventory the biological and geomorphological attributes of the shoreline. The results are used for coastal planning, identification of vulnerable resources, oil spill response planning, habitat modelling and scientific research.
Within this map you can view select stylized layers from the BC ShoreZone dataset. The intent of the map is to give insight into the shoreline characteristics of BC, as well as provide the opportunity for basic comparison of shoreline attributes.
