As part of the Salish Sea Marine Survival Project, citizen scientists worked over a period of three years to amass highly detailed oceanographic data for the Strait of Georgia at a spatial and temporal degree that had not been realized before. This is their story.

Nearshore habitats, such as eelgrass and kelp, provide important sanctuary for juvenile salmon before they venture into open ocean. This story discusses how nearshore habitat loss was approached as part of the Salish Sea Marine Survival Project.
